Hello, and welcome to Engelman Sports Analytics! I am Ethan Engelman, a 17-year old high school senior with an insistent passion for sports, particularly baseball, and have a dream of making an impact in the world of sports analytics. I created Engelman Sports Analytics to share my love for both statistics and the games we all love and cherish. I have always been immersed in sports, as I grew up playing baseball and currently run track and field for my school team. I saw how analytics and numbers were transforming the way sports teams make decisions, from drafting players to making in-game strategy adjustments. I found the perfect intersection of my two passions, and I knew I had to be a part of it. I am actively preparing for a future in sports analytics, from taking advanced math and statistics courses to actively apply skills in sports-related projects. Engelman Sports is a space where I will share insights, analysis and thoughts on the latest trends in sports analytics, with a concentration in baseball. I will have a focus on statistical breakdowns, and discuss the impact of analytics on the sports industry. I am always looking for new ways to apply data analysis to the sports world, and hope to share my journey with fellow sports enthusiasts and aspiring analysts along the way.
